Can you believe it? no fanfare, even a half fan fare might have done
as cycling supremo Robert Taylor steps from the limelight into retirement mode. Cycling share prices dropped immediately Big Bobs cycle parts were soon up for sale. His entire life was dedicated to finding a downhill 25 mile course. always a pleasant fellow good humour and even won a few medals , never shy at offering prizes and the car boot opened up with optic and endless bottles of Magners. Of course he was well known for just looking good and always evented on courses that offered big windows so that he might survey his dtnamic racing position. Once a member of the Glasgow Wheelers he then joined the Dooley RT and became their general. areal gent. i recall the saturday night time trials at west ferry with the TLI the events were called the BBT 10'S bOB PRODUCED all the events prizes the first event attracted on 38 competitors and the 4 had 88 and it was largely due to the magnetic charm of Big Bob Taylor.
