Anyone got the results for today? And what was the total number of riders today? 100?

Arthur Doyle won with 20.14 narrowly failing to catch me at the line (although to be fair I had an 8-minute starty)

Think 2nd may have been a mid-21 if I remember rightly.

Big, big turnout

20:10!!! Everyone I spoke to found the conditions really tough with a deceptive wind. That's an incredible time Arthur - there's a good 19min effort coming soon.....

Arthur was in another League today, that dodgy tummy worked wonders.

I thought my time was poor until I realised where the rest of the fields times started, its not always wise to compare your time to the winners.

Well done to the organisers and the 100+ entrants.

I can't remember a non-championship time trial in the last 5 years with so many entries. Did everyone get a TT frame for Xmas? There was probably the best part of £200k in bike kit charging along the Stirling flats...

I'd heard mutterings of a superb performance by Arthur today and was looking for confirmation. Outstanding.

I've heard the women's results were:
Christine Mclean 23.39
Jessica Wilson-Young 23.46
Fiona Duncan 24.58 (joint third with Kerry Lang?)

Insider info
I just didn't know the men's results, or the rest of the women's field.

I thought this was a great event, with a really good atmosphere. Odd to think that an individual TT could have such a feeling to it, but there you go. Tommy Glendining and the rest of the organisers were welcoming and made the effort to let people take part - there was a lad who missed his time as he never knew the race HQ had changed, but they got him in.

Just glad we were racing on Sunday and not today!

JWY was given 1st. senior. CM was given 1st. vet - on a faster time.
TT prize-givings are always confusing in respect of overall placings..

Aha! Tricked me!

Fi,
I promise I will never mispronounce Ythan (like Python, without the P) again. The difficulty I'm having now is not saying "like Python, without the P!"

Was looking at this latest finishing result - has there been a change as when I copied the finishing sheet at the event number 38 had a 28.24 and was placed as 2nd youth and he is now listed as having a 22.14 which would be an outstanding ride for his age group. Secondly I note that number 53 is listed as having a 27.01 although on the day he was stated as having a 34.20.

Was just interested as if this is right then I think number 38 will definitely be a talent to watch.
