Early season

Racing has begun but not as I hoped. The Belgian classics- Het Nieuwsblad, GP De Samyn, Omloop van Het Hageland are always at the beginning of the season and I thought I was going into them well prepared. But my legs and my 23mm wide tires failed me in Het Nieuwsblad. Then 2 crashes causing splits (at the front of our group both times) in the other 2 UCI races, when I was in the front group on both occasions meant no top 10. I am disappointed but not dwelling on my results because the fitness is there and now I just need a bit of luck. Maybe my luck will turn this weekend at Gent-Wevelgem. I have my 25mm tires all ready to be fitted in preparation for the Kemmelberg. Roll on Sunday.
