It's been a while (2 months) since my last post, and since then there has been one consistent in my life, road racing.

I'll just give some brief updates on my races and what roles I've been playing.

After Yorkshire, we had the Tour of Berlin an under 23 UCI 2,2 stage race. Every day was relatively flat kermesse style racing, so it was lead out duties for our sprinter Chris Latham, he came away with 2 x 2nd places. Personally I me away with 14 overall after coming 16th in the time trial on the second day.

Paris Arras was next, a UCI 2.2 3 day stage race in France. Nothing special or amazing to speak of about this race. We raced well as a team but didn't come away with any big result. Sometimes it's about the process and learning and results will come later.

Results did come later at the next race the Under 23 Peace race in Czech Republic. This 3 day stage race is part of the Under 23  UCI nations cups. On the first day my team mate Gabz Cullaigh won, a really big result for himself and I'm glad I could be part of it. This gave us (Great Britain) the leaders jersey to protect on the second day. The second day ended with a 17km climb, the longest in Czech republic. So we were trying to set it up for Scott Davies, our climber. We controlled the race all day and left Scott in a good position going into the final climb. Unfortunately a mechanical stopped Scott from performing to his very best.
I'm sorry to say I didn't finish the final day, an injury prevented me from finishing the day, I picked up this injury in Berlin and since then it had developed. Im happy to say I've had some time off and I'm back to full fitness now.

Most recently I've been back in Britain racing the Velothon Wales UCI 1.1, Beaumont trophy UCI 1.2 and the Otley town centre crit last night. I managed to get in the early break in both the Velothon and Beaumont, and good team work allowed Chris Latham, to be able to get in a position to win the Beaumont trophy and come second last night in Otley.

I'm back on the track next with the Under 23 European track championships in 2 weeks. A big goal of the season. Ill report on how it goes, if there is no report then it didn't go great. Simple
