That’s a wrap… kind of! The road season has officially finished and I’m happy with the progression I have made with Team Raleigh GAC this season. There have been many up and a few downs along the way however I would consider season 2016 a success!
The Elite Criterium Series finished and as a team, we won the series leader prize with Sebastian Mora! This was one of the highlighted season goals for the team at the start of the year so to be a part and actively work for Seb throughout the series was worthwhile as he brought home the goods. As the crits finished I turned back to road racing and rebuilding the base. Road races have been tough but I feel the speed and power from racing criteriums have allowed me to progress in my racing.
The road season has now finished and I have retained my elite category license and finished the season with several podium finishes with a couple of personal victories along the way too.
For me, though, there is no time to relax and have a few easy weeks to unwind before winter training begins as I have a busy winter of track racing. I am making a return to the track this winter as I have been given the opportunity by Team Raleigh GAC to race the Revolution Series. Following the Rev’s I have U23 London 6day, Scottish, University and British Championships which I really look forward too.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank Team Raleigh GAC for taking me on this year. I have learned a lot and have enjoyed the season! Extra UK for their support with Fizik shoes and saddles and also Braveheart as this year would have been very, very tough without your support.
