Dooley's Cycles Racing Team

I come from Inverness and have always been competitive especially when it comes to sport. Played football and rugby throughout school and got into cycling through a local duathlon (The highland Cross). After I left school I done an apprenticeship in car mechanics but after finishing I decided to go back to “school”, so I’m now in my third year at Glasgow University, studying Electronic Engineering, where I stay with my girlfriend, Rhona. After a few years of cycling about aimlessly I started racing proper last year for the Glasgow wheelers and it went ok. I’ve moved to Dooley’s this year so that I could benefit from the vast knowledge of their riders.

Ambitions

My ultimate ambition within cycling is to reach my full potential and race/win internationally. For 2009 I’m aiming at improving my time trialling along with doing as many premier calendars as possible. I hope to gain some good results in these and would like to gain selection for the upcoming commonwealth games in Delhi.
