One wonders how many people from Glasgow actually remember 'the bundy?"
The bundy" was a time recording clock at the roadside which was used by tram and bus conductors. The conductor would carry the brown card to the bundy and record by means of a time stamp the time the vehicle passed the clock. There had been 60 bundy clocks in Glasgow, however there is no trace of them now or even evidence of where they once stood. Sadly there are no photographs of the Bundy clocks The Glasgow Transport Museum have been unable to find any Bundy Clocks. The time clocks were still in use until 1971. Its very unlikely that any of the "Bundy Bunch" have any vague idea as to where this nickname was derived with the exception of wee Davie Millar who can recall the invention of the wheel.
Not a lot of people knew this.

That story's been common knowledge since I was a boy!

God sent me to skin you alive...
