Lead group of 10 riders. Eileen very convincingly won the sprint, crossing the line very stylish:

Another update on the racing over here in Europe with my Dutch team. On Saturday 7th May I travelled to Beglium some 2.5hrs away from where I'm staying here in Holland with my team mates. The day was very hot & was easily over 25degrees so taking to lining up on the start line some 30mins before the start is something that takes a while to get used too. Yet again the wind was EVER present & played a part in the race along with a 2km cobbled section (which seemed to go on forever!) Before we hit the cobbles a cross wind on a very narrow road was what decided the groups just before we hit the cobbles. Myself, Laura Trott & Sarah Reynolds stayed very close to each other the whole race & worked well together helping each other move up the bunch in the cross winds & collecting bottles for each other. The bunch split at 50km into the race all over the cobbles & i found myself hanging off the 2nd bunch & popped 2 gels straight after that section. I dont know whats worse racing on the cobbles or straight after they finish & trying to stay with the bunch on the tarmark. The 2nd group had to make up a min on the first group which was completed before we hit the small 8km loops *7. The break didnt go untill 3laps to go which featured all of the big teams but was only 17sec coming into the finish. The bunch kick was very messy with a couple of traffic islands here & there. Trott had decided if she had anything left for the bunch kick then she would lead me out but as it came into the finish i found a gap open up on the left hand side & took that option. I came home in 19th place in my second UCI race of this year.
